TiECON’s ‘Building Global Thrust a successful hit.

Startups in India has seen a gradual increase over the past few years and with an idea to promote the same culture in North India and to further accelerate the vision of self-reliant Bharat, TiECON Chandigarh has played a crucial part by hosting the ’Building Global Thrust’ event in Chandigarh on March 2nd 2024.

To make India realize its full potential and to propel local businesses as well guiding the entrepreneurs for a global mindset and equipping them with tools to compete on the international stage. The event featured several renowned speakers including the Chief minister of Punjab Bhagwant Maan, who addressed the audience and highlighted the ability of Punjabi’s to transform ideas into successful businesses through their strong will.

“I aspire for the youth of Punjab to be job creators, not job seekers,” stated Mann. “At present, we possess top-notch educational facilities that will play a pivotal role in overall development, particularly in attracting the right talent,” he added. 

He also reflected upon the efforts put forward by his government over the past two years and the success they achieved through innovative measures. He also encouraged youth to propose creative ideas for improving citizen service efficiency and accessibility.

Additional Chief Secretary Tejveer Singh also emphasizes the government’s goal to make North India a leading destination for investment for startups by providing investors with best-in-class facilities and with their dynamic industrial policies making it easier for startups to begin with.

Jitin Talwar, a successful entrepreneur and property expert, set the tone with his keynote titled ”A Fearless Entrepreneur, charting Courses Through Uncharted Territories”. He shared his insights and advised the audience on how to overcome challenges while navigating the complexities of the global market. 

Aman Gupta, host on Shark Tank, more prominently known as founder of most valuable wearable technology ‘Boats’ also explained how his brand Boats came into existence. Also gave his personal obstacle of raising his brand while competing with 200 brands at that time. 

He added, “As of now, it’s very difficult to name five Indian brands having global presence except those who are into software outsourcing. But the same doesn’t holds for American brands as these are on everyone’s fingertips, We are rightfully poised to leverage immense entrepreneurial potential, investment stamina and youth talent to rule the world,”

Gupta, while referring to the success and downfall og Byjus’s also stated that there are no shortcuts to success and explained to the audience that only sustainable growth will help your business. 

Celebrated author and investor Ankur Warikoo also shared his thoughts with the audience on securing funds. He stated,“Getting funding is just like a chef buying a vegetable. As merely buying a vegetable doesn’t make a chef successful, in the same way, getting funding doesn’t make you a successful entrepreneur,”.

Drawing from his 35 years of experience, renowned author and speaker Shiv Khera, offered a powerful statement: “There are no neutral leaders; they are either good or bad”. He also provided his thoughts on integrity’s role in success of a team in any organization 

The StartUp Bazaar served as an essential marketplace where upcoming entrepreneurs showcased their innovative ideas and products. This platform fostered collaborations, and potential partnerships, making it easier to connect with potential investors, mentors and industry leaders to support their ventures.
