IPL 2024 Will be Streamed Live in the US

The Indian Premiere League is all set to make its first impression in the foreign land of the US. The “Super Bowl” of cricket has geared up to kick off on March 22nd, and for the first time, American cricket fans will share the front-row seat action with the world.

The IPL is often compared to the US’s Super Bowl for its action, glamour, and massive fan following, where 10 teams representing different states of India and cities compete for the ultimate prize, the trophy of “IPL Champions”. These matches are played across 13 venues and the T-20 format guarantees fast-paced, action-packed matches for captivating new audiences. This year holds additional significance as it will serve as a warm-up for the ICC T20 World Cup scheduled later this year in the US and the Caribbean islands.

The leading American cricket broadcaster Willow TV will provide broadcasting of the IPL on their platform. It already serves as the premiere destination for cricket in the United States and this collaboration will cultivate a healthier relationship with cricket enthusiasts and the platform

The IPL’s arrival in the US marks a significant step towards the popularization of cricket in the world. This fast-paced competition coupled with glamour and glitz has the potential to attract a whole new generation of American fans. Willow TV will provide fans with accessible streaming options to tune in and withe witness the breathtaking world of cricket

The 17th edition of the IPL will commence on 22nd March, the first match will be a thrilling clash between the defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Royal Challengers Banglore(RCB), or you can say between two former Indian captains, MS Dhoni vs. Virat Kohli.

The timings for this year’s matches are 3:30 pm IST(6 am EDT)  for the evening matches and 7:30 pm IST(10 am EDT) for the night matches, this will ensure that no cricket fan misses a single boundary or wicket.

The IPL season consists of 10 formidable teams: Delhi Capitals, Mumbai Indians, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Chennai Super Kings, Kolkata Knight Riders, Gujarat Titans, Punjab Kings, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Lucknow Super Giants, and Rajasthan Royals competing against each other. Each team has a star-studded roster of international cricketers alongside rising Indian talents, promising electrifying competition.

Organized by the Board of Control For Cricket in India(BCCI), the IPL has been traditionally held within India except in 2009 and 2014 when the tournament was shifted to South Africa and UAE respectively. The reason behind that was general elections. However, this year too the schedule clashes with general elections, but the matches will still be played on Indian soil, mirroring 2019.

In February, the BCCI release the dates for the first 17 days of IPL 2024. The remaining announcement regarding the further matches will be made after the finalization of India’s general election dates. This way, they can make sure there is no clash, and cricket fans can enjoy the whole season without any interruption.
