Apply online for high-security registration plates (HSRP) in Delhi – step-by-step process

Online Vehicle registration (HSRP) now simplified to Book My HSRP

In a recent public notice, transport department of Delhi government had asked owners of vehicles registered before April 2019 to get the high-security registration plates in Delhi and colour-coded stickers without any delay.

Amid concerns over technical glitches, the procedure to get these mandatory high-security registration plates and fuel stickers was simplified.

Over 32 lakh vehicles registered prior to 2019 (approximate 10-12 lakh cars and 20 lakh two-wheelers) have to get the HSRP and coloured stickers installed in Delhi. Of this, so far, only 3.5 lakh vehicles have complied.

“Now, the seven-step online booking process for high-security registration plates in Delhi has been made simpler. There is no need to upload a scanned copy of the RC anymore.
