Covid count: 526 cases and 12 deaths reported in tricity

In Chandigarh, 266 cases and four deaths were reported on Tuesday, taking the total to 10,546 and death toll to 127. As many as 383 patients were discharged today, reducing the number of active cases to 2,622.

In Mohali, four persons lost their battle against Covid-19 taking the count to 167 and 188 fresh cases were reported, taking the number of cases to 8,701. There are 2,559 active patients in the district.   

Out of the total 188 cases, 84 are from Mohali urban, 16  from Kharar, 34  from Gharuan, 43 from Dhakoli, 3 from Dera Bassi, 2 from Banur and 6 from Kurali and Boothgarh.

In Panchkula, 72 Covid cases and four deaths were reported, taking the case tally to 6,918 and death toll to 71. There are 5,182 positive cases in the district, of these 1,219 are active and 3,982 have been cured or discharged.

The new infections were reported from Barwala, Bir Ghaggar, Kanouli, Manaktabra, MDC-4,5 and 6, Pinjore, Raipur Rani, Police lines and from other sectors of the city.
