Even though this year is different due to the pandemic, but that should not drown the festive cheer. You can still have the same fun! 1. SECRET SANTA

How do you do a virtual Secret Santa?

  • Set a budget and pick a date.
  • Gather participant wish lists.
  • Draw names with an online tool like Elfster or Giftster.
  • Mail gifts to recipients.
  • Exchange gifts via video call.

2. CHRISTMAS COCKTAIL TONGUE TWISTER

This one is not for the kids! If you are an adult, pour yourself your favourite drink and try speaking tongue twisters. It might not be the same as drinking at your favourite bar, but it’s a sure way to keep the spirits high. If you’re feeling adventurous, why not make cocktails together over Zoom? Simply pick up the ingredients beforehand and whip them up together virtually. The rules to play the game are:

christmas
  • Make a list of tongue twisters.
  • Each person shall get 3 chances to recite the twister perfectly.
  • If that person fails, then he has to take a drink.
  • If she/he is successful, then everyone else has to drink.

3. NEVER HAVE I EVER

This is also an all-time favourite. You can use drinks (if you are of legal drinking age) or Christmas candies! You can connect with your loved one on a Zoom call. The first player starts by saying a simple statement about what they have never done before starting with “Never have I ever”. Anyone who at some point in their life has done the action that the first player says, must drink or eat a candy. Then the game continues around the circle, and the next person makes a statement.

The game is played turn-by-turn. One person is assigned a character, whom she/he has to guess by asking questions. You can set the limit of questions that can be asked, generally it is 20. The other players (who know the name of the character) will answer in only ‘yes’ or ‘no’.

Example, a player has been assigned the character of Spiderman.

To guess it, she/he can ask following questions:
