The Registration and Licensing Authority (RLA), Sector-17, is again going to auction different series VIP numbers once again. Residents can register themselves from Wednesday to participate in this auction.
People can register for VIP numbers from January 6 to 12 till 5pm. After this, the bidding process will start from January 13. The last bid will be made on 15 January.

Only those who have purchased their vehicle on Chandigarh address can participate in the auction. Sale letter, form number 21 and Aadhaar card are mandatory to participate.
The remaining VIP numbers of the old series will also be put up for auction: CH01-CB, CH01-CA, CH01-BZ, CH01-BY, CH01-BX, CH01-BW, CH01-BV, CH01-BU, CH01-BT, CH01-BS. Last year in November, CH01-CC0001 was auctioned for 8 lakh. A total of 266 bidders participated in it. The 0001 number was sold for the highest amount, which had a reserve price of ₹50,000. After 0001, the maximum bid was for the number 0009, which was auctioned for ₹2.50 lakh, with a reserve price of ₹30,000. At the same time, 0002 number was sold for ₹1.64 lakh, 0007 number ₹2.29 lakh, 0005 number for ₹1.70 lakh, 0006 number for ₹1.68 lakh, 0003 number for ₹1.55 lakh, 0008 for ₹1.40 lakh, 0004 for ₹57,000 and 0010 for ₹53,000.
