Independent School Association has issued directions to all private schools in city to commence regular classes. All schools have been asked to conduct a survey among parents for sending children to school for five days.
President of the Independent School Association HS Mamik said that they are planning to start regular classes, but the final decision depends only on the parents’ opinion. For this, all private schools have been asked to conduct the survey among parents of students from Nursery to Class 12. If 50% parents of all sections (primary, secondary) agree, then regular classes of all classes will be conducted. If only parents of higher classes give their consent, then only they will be called.
Earlier, private schools in city did not resume physical classes from November 2 as they did not receive the consent of the parents of the minimum 50% students, the mark set by the Independent Schools Association. Even colleges and universities that reopened on Monday across Punjab after an eight-month break reported poor attendance.
