With Covid-19 spreading its tentacles in the UT Education Department, tests for coronavirus were to be conducted on Tuesday. Around 33 employees refused to get themselves tested and made excuses for the same. One employee said that everyone feared that if they test positive, the entire family would face trouble due to them.
On Monday, ten employees of District Education Office, Sector-19, tested positive for the disease.
In the last seven days, around 14 officers and employees have tested corona positive. Moreover, District Education Officer Harbir Singh Anand lost his life due to this virus.
