The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has been conducting searches on Friday at the Jodhpur residence and shop of Agrasen Gehlot, the brother of Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, in connection with alleged 2007 fertiliser scam case, sources said.Agrasen is a fertiliser trader. He was earlier questioned by the Enforcement Directorate under Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) in the same case.
Incidentally, the searches are being conducted after the CBI registered a new case of corruption against Agrasen, the sources said.These searches come amid the nationwide protests by Congress over Rahul Gandhi’s questioning by the ED under the PMLA in a case linked to the National Herald newspaper.
