Punjab Cabinet Minister Dr Raj Kumar Verka on Sunday inaugurated newly built hostel at Sri Goindwal Sahib campus of Baba Farid University of Health Sciences. On this occasion MLA Khadoor Sahib Ramanjeet Singh Sikki, Deputy Commissioner Tarn Taran Kulwant Singh, Vice Chancellor of Baba Farid University of Health Sciences Dr. Raj Bahadur, Principal Charanjeet Kaur and other distinguished personalities.
During the function Dr. Verka said that on the demand of MLA Ramanjit Singh Sikki, we have decided to build a hospital in the campus with the cost of Rs. 15 crore and the construction would be commenced soon. He said that the newly built hostel will accommodate the students of far flung areas and they can be able to focus on their studies in congenial atmosphere at here. Meanwhile Principal of the campus institute Charanjit Kaur Buttar apprised that 52 rooms have been constructed in the hostel and will be able to accommodate 104 students.
