UT administration gives green signal for typing test

Chandigarh administration has written a letter to the Panjab University (PU) and approved to conduct the typing test.

After the recruitment exam in UT administration, around 3,000 applicants had been waiting for past several months for the typing test, which had not been held due to the pandemic. Candidates who had passed the examination were demanding to undergo a typing test.

SK Jha, Secretary, Department of Personnel, said that the Chandigarh administration has written a letter to PU instructing it to conduct the examination soon. The typing test will be taken keeping in mind all the guidelines of Covid. The exam date will be released by PU.

On March 15, around 1,000 applicants gave the test, but on March 21, 22 and 23, the tests could not be conducted. Since then, around 3,000 candidates have been waiting for the test. Recently, a campaign was also launched on Twitter by the candidates and an attempt was made to trend #ChandigarhAdministrationTypingTest. Officers were tagged in the posts and demands were raised to set the day for the test.
