The application deadline for admissions to MA/PG Diploma courses in all 12 government and private colleges in Chandigarh has been extended till October 28. Students can check the prospectus and apply for admission on: http://dhe.chd.gov.in.
Director of Higher Education (DHE) Rubinderjit Singh Brar said that the last date of application for admissions in PG courses has been extended from October 22 to October 28. Also, due to the pandemic, admission tests for MA have been cancelled.
Now, admissions will be held on the basis of merit. There are about 3,500 seats for the postgraduate courses (MA/MCom /MSc). Moreover, admission process for about 800 seats in Post Graduate Diploma in both government and private colleges is being conducted.
The DHE informed that the counselling process will also be conducted online. For this, an SMS will be sent to the applicant to confirm the seat in the college. The applicants will have to provide their WhatsApp number and working mail ID.
Things to keep in mind for admission:
- For admission to government colleges, one has to apply on: www.dhe.chd.gov.in
- For admission in private colleges, one has to apply by visiting the respective college website
- Admission schedule of all courses in all colleges will remain the same
- All changes related to admission can be seen by visiting DHE website
