In view of closed OPDs, Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) has extended the time limit of tele-consultation facility for the patients of government hospitals.
Starting Friday, patients will be able to register from 8am to 10.30am. Earlier, registration could be done from 8am to 9.30am.
Also, OPD facility was closed due to the Covid pandemic on March 28. On normal days, 12,000 to 15,000 patients were treated per day. So, PGIMER had started tele-consultancy facility from May 19.
Emergency and scheduled surgery will be on time
No registration of any kind is required for emergency service. According to PGI administration, no changes will be made to the operations that have already been scheduled.
