In Chandigarh, 232 new Covid-19 cases were reported on Monday, taking the tally to 5,995. Three deaths were reported, with the death toll standing at 74, and 295 patients were discharged. The Union Territory has 2,184 active cases.
In Mohali, 224 fresh cases were reported taking the count to 5,106 (crossing the 5,000-mark) while 6 persons succumbed, taking the toll to 113. There are 2358 active cases in the district and 2,635 people have been cured.
The cases were reported as follows: 82 from Mohali city, 27 from Kharar, 28 from Gharuan, 67 from Dhakoli, 16 from Dera Bassi, 3 from Lalru and 1 from Kurali.
In Panchkula, 68 new cases and two deaths were reported taking the death toll to 34. The total tally stands at 3,146, out of which 1,214 are active and 1,898 have been discharged.
On Monday, most of the cases were reported from Kalka, Pinjore, and other areas of Panchkula.
