Punjab Health and Family Welfare Minister, Balbir Singh on Wednesday issued appointment letters to 105 specialist doctors on the basis of a walk-in-interview at the Department of Health & Family Welfare, Chandigarh.
Giving details in press release, Sidhu said that this recruitment includes 16 medicine, 5 TB chest, 45 anaesthetist, 2 radiologists, 11 paediatricians and 26 gynaecologists. They have been appointed as Medical Officer (Specialist).
He also informed that soon vacancies for surgeons, ophthalmologists, orthopaedic surgeons, psychiatrists and dermatologists would be filled up.
Awareness video launched
With dedication to win the war against Covid-19, an awareness music video was also launched by the minister at his official residence in Sector-39.
The minister said, “It is an endeavour of director Rampal Banga to engrave the fighting spirit among the folks during the perilous times of the pandemic.”
He said that the state government is striving to curb the spread of the disease and the awareness efforts of the civil society will also bolster the morale of people.
“Art is a great medium to make the people aware of contemporary issues and this video also shows the creativity of young minds belonging to this field,” he added.
Director of music video, Rampal Banga, said that the greatest challenge and triumph of art is its ability to depict life’s harsh truth, no matter how sweet or bitter.
He said that the initiative includes the efforts of Master Saleem, Firoz Khan, Sukhbir Rana, Banga Saab, Boota Mohammed, Deep Mehndi, G Khan, Sikander Saleem, Julfkar Ali, Amrit Pamal, Gurkirat Rai, Ratika Rana and Shefali Bahia.
He further said that Inder Sahbi and Kiranjit Kaur composed its lyrics.
