An 80 year old woman from Sector 30 Chandigarh who was declared brought dead at the GMSH -16 on Monday has tested positive for Covid-19 today. She becomes the fifth casualty from the Coronavirus in the city.
Of the five casualties reported from Chandigarh, four had tested positive only after the patient’s death.
Meanwhile, another corona positive case of a 35-year old man has emerged from the containment zone of Bapu Dham Colony. He is the husband of the woman who had tested positive on Monday.
Two more coronavirus cases have been reported from the city taking the total corona count of the city to 301.
With this, the total active cases in the city has risen to 83.
