It is no secret that Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone have been going strong for years now, although they have never spelled it out in so many words. If a report in a leading magazine is to be believed, they are all set to take their relationship to the next level and tie the knot on November 10 this year.
For months, gossip columns have been churning out story after story about Ranveer and Deepika’s wedding. However, it was only a few weeks ago that the Singhs and Padukones zeroed in on the date, according to a source.
“The maximum time was taken to decide the date. Both Ranveer and Deepika want everything about their marriage to be perfect. November 10th suited their calendars as well as their parents’. The roka was done long back and the wedding date was finalised just few weeks ago,” the insider informed.
Buzz is that Ranveer and Deepika might follow in Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma’s footsteps and get married away from the prying eyes of the media. “The wedding will take place in Italy or Bengaluru or both, just like Virat and Anushka’s. The family was also toying with the idea of Udaipur palace but that didn’t work out,” the source revealed.
“Preparations are on full swing from both sides. Ladies have begun the wedding shopping. Ranveer is extremely excited about the wedding and is evidently on cloud 9 with both his professional and personal life being on a high,” the source added.
Incidentally, earlier this year, when India Today Television caught up with Ranveer, he emphasized that marriage was not on the cards anytime soon. However, he admitted that he had been thinking about it.
“These are things I think about. I try to create a life and work balance. As much as I am consumed by my work at the moment, these things (marriage) are on my mind. But nothing decisive as of now,” he said, adding that he was neck-deep in his professional commitments and that getting married would have to wait.
