For hard work and leading from the front in the battle against Covid-19, Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Patiala Range, Vikram Jeet Duggal, was acknowledged with a Certificate of Commitment from the World Book Records, London, for serving the society during pandemic. Jasvir Singh Shinda, Adjudicator and Punjab Vice President World Book of Records, London (UK), bestowed the certificate to Vikram Jeet Duggal.
Duggal is a 2007 Batch IPS Officer of Telangana Cadre, who is on inter cadre deputation to Punjab and served first as SSP Amritsar Rural and then as SSP, Patiala. Police officers have been at the forefront of fighting the pandemic and not just busy enforcing curfews and lockdowns, but also educating public through village police officers and quelling rumours.
