Former IAS Vivek Atray has been elected as chairman for the Chandigarh Chapter of Public Relations Council of India (PRCI) for the year 2020-21.
Vivek Atray was associated with PRCI since 2010. Other office bearers for the Chapter include Professor Jayant Pethkar from PU’s School of Communication Studies as vice-chairman.
Sudeep Rawat has been elected as secretary and Gurmeet Singh Khaira and Pawitar Singh as joint secretary. Working members include Amit Roy, Aditya Sharma, Ritu Nag, Lalit Sharma, Shikha Nehra and Arun Johar.
Jatinder Vij will be the representative of the National Council and Aneesh Bhanot will be the Zonal representative of the chapter. National vice-president CJ Singh and PRCI North Zone President Renuka B Salwan will be the advisors of the chapter.
This chapter will organise professional training programmes for the corporate and public sector. In order to prepare the youth for the challenges of life, Young Communicator Club will also be set up in various universities. The Public Relations Council of India is the national apex body of public relations practitioners, communicators, academics and media personalities of India. It has 34 chapters in India. There are also chapters abroad in Dubai, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal and Bhutan.
