Haryana government appointed Vijai Vardhan as the new Chief Secretary of Haryana on Wednesday, read an order that issued transfers and posting orders of six IAS officers with immediate effect.
Vardhan is a post-graduate in history from St Stephen’s College, Delhi University. In 1985 he joined the Indian Administrative Service and was allocated the Haryana Cadre.
He has held important posts such as Secretary to Governor of Haryana, Chairman of Haryana Tourism Corporation and Chairman of Haryana State Pollution Control Board.
