Governor Punjab and Administrator UT, Chandigarh Banwarilal Purohit inaugurated the Airport Shuttle Bus Service started by Chandigarh Transport Undertaking today in the presence of Dharam Pal Adviser to the Administrator Chandigarh and Smt. Sarabjit Kaur, Mayor Chandigarh. The bus service will start from ISBT-17 at 04:20 AM and the operation will end with last bus at 00:55 from Airport. All the timings of CTU buses are in synchronization with arrival and departure timings of flights. Passengers can also submit their feedback with respect to Airport Shuttle Bus Service by scanning QR code installed in the Airport Shuttle Buses. There is a flat ticket of Rs 100/- per person for any of the stoppage. A CTU service counter has been set up at airport which will guide the commuters to shuttle bus service and other long route intercity bus services of CTU. The counter will also extend the facility of advance online reservation for the CTU long route services for onward journey of Airport Passengers. Passenger information boards have also been installed at Airport, which will make the commuters aware with respect to expected time of arrival for the airport buses. CTU has started this service with the objective to improve the connectivity between Airport & Chandigarh and to provide timely service to the passengers coming from and to the Airport. Secretary Transport Nitin Kumar Yadav, Parveen Ranjan,DGP, Director Transport Sh. Pradhuman Singh were present at the event.
