Sharing the state government’s revised guidelines on Unlock 4 which will be implemented from September 9 to 30, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Girish Dayalan informed that it was decided to relax some of the restrictions in urban areas.
-The relaxations include no curfew on Saturdays although there would be total curfew on Sundays in all the municipal towns of the district.
-About night curfew, movement of individuals for all the non-essential activities shall remain prohibited between 9:30pm to 5am within municipal limits of all the cities of throughout the week. However, essential activities and services, movement of persons and goods will be permitted.
– Health care institutions such as hospitals, labs, diagnostic centres and chemist shops are allowed to operate 24×7.
-Movement of persons and students in connection to all kinds of examinations, admission/entrance tests conducted shall be permitted.
-Shops/Malls (other than essential commodities) may open from Monday to Saturday till 9pm.
-Restaurants (including those in malls and hotels), religious places, sports complexes, and liquor vends may remain open till 9pm daily.
– Only 3 persons, including driver, are allowed in a 4-wheeler vehicle.
– There is ban on gatherings. However, gatherings related to marriages and funerals shall be allowed for 30 and 20 persons, respectively.
-Government and private offices shall operate with 50% staff strength.
