Kanta Tsuneyama delivered the winning point against Denmark to take Japan into the Thomas Cup final.
The 21-year-old Tsuneyama put up a confident show to beat Jan O Jorgesen 21-18, 21-18 in the deciding match at the Impact Arena on Friday (May 25).
Earlier, Japan and Denmark were tied 2-2.
The 2014 Thomas Cup champions won the points through Kento Momota and Kenta Nishimoto, who played exceptionally well to blow away Viktor Axelsen and Hans-Kristian Vittinghus respectively.
Japan take on China in the final on Sunday (May 27, 2pm Malaysian time) and will be out to make it a double joy.
Japan have also made it to the Uber Cup final and take on surprise finalists Thailand on Saturday (May 26).
