On Govardhan Pooja this year, entry of external devotees will be prohibited at Shri Chaitanya Gaudiya Math temple located in Sector-20. The decision has been taken by the Math management in the wake of Covid. Confirming this, Math spokesperson Jai Prakash Gupta said that Govardhan Puja is on November 15.
Though ceremonies will be organised in the temple, but to avoid crowds, only the saints and devotees living inside the temple will attend the pooja. On the other hand, Pandit Shyam Sundar Shastri, the head priest of Shiv Shakti temple of Sector 30, told that the temple will organise the Annakoot bhandara. After the Govardhan Pooja, the devotees will not be allowed to sit for the bhandara, rather the prashad will be distributed in packets.
