In view of the increasing number of Covid patients in the city, temporarily closed isolation and Covid wards in Government Multi Specialty Hospital, Sector 16, have been opened again. The Covid wards staff has been alerted and instructed to be alert for 24 hours duty in view of the impending danger.
Director of Health, Dr Amandeep Kang said that people are ignoring the standards of protection in the midst of the festival season and the number of positive cases has increasing rapidly. People should support the health department and take care of social distancing and wear masks.
