SAD president Sukhbir Badal appeared before a SIT probing the October 2016 Behbal Kalan police firing case in which two men had died on Tuesday.The hearing is being held at Punjab Police Officers’ Institute, Sector 32, in Chandigarh.
Badal’s questioning that started at 11.15am was continuing till the time this report was filed.Sources said the SIT is focusing on whether Sukhbir or Parkash Singh Badal, the Punjab CM in October 2016, gave the green signal to the police to use force against a mob that was protesting against a series of sacrilege incidents in the state.
