Sports Authority of India, Steel Plant Sports Board and Central Reserve Police Force register big wins

Sports Authority of India, Steel Plant Sports Board and Central Reserve Police Force registered wins in their respective matches on the opening day of the 1st Hockey India Senior Women Inter-Department National Championship 2021 here in Kolkata today.

The inaugural edition of the 1st Hockey India Senior Women Inter- Department National Championship 2021 kickstarted with Sports Authority of India registering a monumental 30-0 win over Defence Accounts Sports control Board in Pool A match. Anjali Mahto (1′, 15′, 15′, 56′, 57′, 58′, 59′),  Tanya (2′, 20′, 39′, 53′, 53′, 60′) and Captain Manisha Chauhan (12′, 25′,33′, 37′, 42′) wreaked havoc as they scored as many as 18 goals in total, while Jyoti (14′, 47′, 51′), Gayatri Kissan (22′, 23′, 36′), and F Lalawmpuii (21′, 24′, 35′) bagged a hat-trick in what was a goal fest. Lily Oram (40′), Vartika Rawat (45′) and Sushmita Panna (52′) also chipped in with a goal each for the Sports Authority of India.

In another Pool A match, Steel Plants Sports Board registered a comprehensive 9-2 win against UCO Bank Women’s Hockey Academy. Raju Ranwa (4′, 15′, 21′, 60′) starred with four goals, Karishma Nayak (30′, 44′) bagged a brace and Manisha Dhawal (17′), Geeta Rani (37′) and Pooja Bhatt (40′) scored a goal each for Steel Plants Sports Board. Whereas, Priyanka (53′, 59′) netted twice for UCO Bank Women’s Hockey Academy

In Pool B, Central Reserve Police Force registered a clinical 5-2 win against Central Civil Services Cultural and Sports Board. Pragya Mourya (4′, 7′, 46′) scored a hat-trick, while Pinki Ekka (11′) and Bharti Thakur (57′) scored a goal each. Narinder Kaur (29′, 43′) was the goal scorer for Central Civil Services Cultural and Sports Board.

The Pool B match between Sashastra Seema Bal and Association of Indian Universities was forfeited. Sashastra Seema Bal was declared the winner as Association of Indian Universities didn’t turn up for the match.
