Assistant sub-inspector of police (ASI) Bhupinder Singh of Chandigarh Police, who has been sensitising people about coronavirus, tested positive on Thursday.
Singh has been admitted to Government Multi Specialty Hospital (GMSH), Sector 16. According to sources, the test was conducted on August 3 after he showed mild symptoms.
He had been intensively campaigning in the city to sensitise people about the disease.
He wrote and sang a Punjabi song in this regard which highlighted the need of social distancing and washing hands. Earlier, he had written a song on new traffic rules in 2019.
