A team of Saupins School Chandigarh won ‘Best Presentation Award’ in the Skimmer category at the 12th AWIM National Olympics organised by SAE India (Society of Automotive Engineers India) at Vel Tech R&D Institute of Science & Technology, Avadi Chennai.
The team comprised Apaar Sood, Ayaan Gupta, Prisha Gupta and Saachi Kanwar of Class V of Saupins School Chandigarh. They had earlier won the regional round held at Chitkara International School Chandigarh and had thus qualified for the finals to be held at Chennai on 21st and 22nd December 2019.
Saupins School Jet Toy team had also qualified for the National Olympics at Chennai.
The Skimmer Challenge by SAE India has been designed to supplement the curriculum of an elementary (4-6) science or math teacher. Like all AWIM challenges, the Skimmer Challenge will join together teachers, students, and industry volunteers in an exploration of physical science while addressing essential mathematic and scientific concepts and skills.
