Sampark Centre to make GMSH-16 OPD cards in Chandigarh, pilot project started

In an effort to ease the  process of making OPD cards for Government Multi  Speciality Hospital,  Sector 16, Chandigarh and for the convenience of the general public, the Department of Information Technology, Chandigarh Administration launched the service of making OPD cards for citizens health check up in sampark  centres.   
Initially the facility has been started in Sampark  Centre, Sector 15, on pilot basis from 8 am to 11 am and on successful roll out of this  service in Sector 15 centre this facility will be extended to other sampark  centers as well. Now  after paying Rs. 10/- citizens can make their OPD registration card from sampark centre- Sector 15 without any hassle.
With the launch of this service in sampark centres,  the cumbersome process of  standing in line  for making the  OPD cards in hospital will be eased and this will be big  relief for the general public . In  order to make  Healthcare  services in Chandigarh more citizen centric more services of GMSH-16 Hospital will be made available  in sampark centres.
Vinod P Kavle, IAS,  Secretary Information Technology, Chandigarh Administration said: “This is a citizen friendly initiative which would make the process of making  OPD cards more accessible and efficient for the  public. As  per the mandate of Government of India to  provide hassle free  services to the citizen , department of IT  is ready to start other services of hospital  through sampark like paying of medical test fee etc.”
Nitika Pawar, IAS,  Director Information Technology, Chandigarh Administration said: “The Samparks are fully equipped to  minimize   the burden of  Chandigarh  Administration by extending more & more government services   to the citizens  under single window system of sampark centres which help in   delivering efficient & transparent e-governance  services at the doorsteps to the citizens.
