The education department has left the decision regarding the remaining students of Class 9 and 11 compartment exams with the respective schools.
A week and a half ago, compartment examination was conducted in government schools. Many students could not reach the school for the exam due to some reason.
UT District Education Officer (DEO) Ravinder Kaur said, “Many students could not reach the school to take compartment examination. The decision regarding such students is left to the school. Schools will investigate the reasons for not appearing in the examination at their level and on the basis of this, the student will be given another opportunity to take the exam again.” Parents of students who did not give the exam and want to repeat the class will have to give an undertaking to the school.
