Railways to operate 4 special trains, one train to run from Chandigarh to Gorakhpur

In view of the upcoming festive season, for the convenience of passengers four special trains will be operated by Ambala Division.

Ambala Division Senior Commercial Officer Hari Mohan said that the special trains will operate between Bathinda-Varanasi, Mata Vaishnodevi Katra-Varanasi, New Delhi- Mata Vaishnodevi Katra and Chandigarh-Gorakhpur in both directions.

Railways will operate train number 04924 Chandigarh-Gorakhpur from October 22 and train number 04923 Gorakhpur-Chandigarh weekly Superfast Express Special from October 23.

Train number 04924 will leave Chandigarh every Thursday night at 11.15pm and reach Gorakhpur at 4pm the next day. In the return direction, train number 04923 will depart from Gorakhpur every Friday at 10.10 pm and reach Chandigarh at 2.15 pm the next day. En route, the train will stop at Ambala Cantonment, Saharanpur, Moradabad, Bareilly, Lucknow, Barabanki, Gonda and Basti stations in both directions.
