Pvt recognised schools get nod to teach Class IX to XII students in winter break

The Directorate School Education has allowed all private recognised schools in the state to conduct classes of Class IX to XII during the winter vacations. Earlier, the orders were issued for some schools from Hisar only.

The Directorate in its orders said following requests from various schools, it has come to the notice that due to unwanted holidays, the syllabus of schools for Class IX to XII couldn’t be completed and the CBSE has also preponed the Board exams by 15 days. Private recognised schools have been allowed to conduct classes for Class IX to XII during the winter vacations.

5 Rewari schools found open, put on notice

Rewari: Directorate of School Education has directed all District Education Officers (DEOs) in the state to take action against those private schools that remained opened and conducted classes by defying the order about the closure of schools on December 30 and 31 in view of severe cold conditions.

Sources say the orders have been issued following reports that the owners of many private schools in various districts do not care about such orders and open schools as usual.

“It has come to the knowledge that some government and private schools do not follow the state government’s orders about the closure of schools in view of severe cold conditions. Hence, you are requested to take action against such schools of your district concerned and send a report to the state authority for further action in this respect,” a communiqué sent to the DEOs on Monday read.

Meanwhile, the DEO has put five private schools on notice for defying government order. All these schools were found conducting classes as usual.

“RPS School, Shri Krishna Senior Secondary School, MLP Senior Secondary School, Suraj School and Holi Child Public School have been issued a show-cause notice as they were found operational during the inspection,” said Mukesh Kumar, District Education Officer (DEO).
