The Punjab State Inter-District Senior Tournament for Katoch Shield Tournament has been started on 19th August, 2021. The first round of League Matches (Day1) were played at various District Headquarters and detailed results are as under:
Barnala vs Bhatinda
Barnala vs Bhatinda was played at Cops Club Bathinda, Bathinda. Barnala won the toss and opted to bat first. Batting first Barnala bundled out for 290 in 77.3 overs in their first innings. Vasus Garg has smashed a remarkable century and scored 104 for 132 (15×4) (3×6), Sandeep singh 63 for 47 (7×4) (4×6) and Sukhwinder singh 47 for 63 (6×4) (3×6) were the highest run getters for Barnala. Sukhmander singh 4 for 53, Ramandeep singh 2 for 26 and Taranpreet singh 2 for 43 were successful wicket takers from Bhatinda.
Batinda in reply was playing 48 for 2 in 10 overs before the play suspended for the day 1 of first innings. Damandeep scored 22 for 15 (5×4), Vivek singh 14 for 25 and Krishsha Taneja 4 for 5 were on the crease before the play ended for day 1. Batinda trail by 242 runs.
Amritsar vs Muktsar Sahib
Amritsar vs Muktsar Sahib match was played at NPS Cricket Ground, Muktsar, Punjab. Amritsar won the toss and elected to bat first. Batting first Amritsar bundled out for 339 in 90 overs in their first innings. Sumit Sharma 89 for 124 (9×4) (4X6) and Aarush sabharwal 80 for 153 (7×4) (2×6) were the highest run getters for Amritsar.

Hoshiarpur vs Gurdaspur
Hoshiarpur vs Gurdaspur match was played at Railway Mandi Ground, Hoshiarpur, Punjab. Hoshiarpur won the toss and opted to bat first.
