A total of 33 people withdrew their nomination papers for the February 20 state assembly polls, Punjab’s Chief Electoral Officer S Karuna Raju said on Thursday.Raju said 1,645 nomination papers were found in order out of 2,266 nominations which were received for the 117 assembly constituencies of the state.He further said 588 nomination papers were rejected during scrutiny.The last date of withdrawal of candidature is February 4.
