In an administrative reshuffle in Punjab’s Health and Family Welfare Department, the postings of the three directors were changed.
Punjab Director Health and Family Welfare Dr Andesh Kang, Director Health Services (Family Welfare) Dr Om Prakash Gojra and Director Health Services (ESI) Dr Gurinderbir Singh joined their respective posts. On the occasion, all the staff of the head office welcomed the newly appointed directors and assured them of full cooperation in the functioning of the department.
It is worth mentioning that Director Health and Family Welfare Dr Andesh Kang started her government service in 1988 as a medical officer, was promoted as an SMO in 2013 and as Civil Surgeon Moga in 2020. During her service tenure she also served as State Nodal Officer Food Safety.
Similarly, Director Health Services (Family Welfare) Dr Om Prakash Gojra started his career in the government service in 1988 as a Medical Officer. After promotion to the post of Civil Surgeon in the year 2020, he was appointed as the Principal of the State Institute of Health and Family Welfare, Mohali.
Director Health Services (ESI) Dr GB Singh started his government service as a Medical Officer in the Health Department in 1988 and in 2013 was promoted as an SMO. In February 2020, after promotion, he joined as Civil Surgeon Barnala.
