Due to drop in of Covid-19 occupancy at level-1 facilities, Punjab Government has decided to close all the care centres in the state with immediate effect.
According to the orders issued by Health Department, these centres have been told to shift Covid-19 Level-2 patients to government hospitals and volunteers who were recruited on a temporary basis, have been relieved. The equipment at these centres will be transferred to government hospitals.
Principal Secretary Health and Family Welfare disclosed that number of patients at these centres had decreased drastically. He said that the decision was taken keeping the present circumstances in mind.
He said that home isolation of patients has contributed in reduction of patients at these centres.
