Panjab University (PU) is preparing to connect more private educational institutions through Chandigarh Region Innovation and Knowledge Cluster (CRIKC) corridor. Around 30 educational institutions will be added by the new year and more than 20,000 students will be benefitted by it.
Through this initiative of PU, the resources and infrastructure of the varsity will be optimally utilised as not every educational institution has every facility.
A nominal fee can be charged from the educational institutions. The students will be able to go to other educational institutions and take advantage of the library, laboratory and equipments. She/he will also be able to read research papers, guides, etc.
A bus was purchased at the time of establishment of the CRIKC corridor for the students. As one bus will not suffice, their number can be increased. CRIC corridor was established by former VC Prof AK Grover. PU included large educational institutions in this corridor and more than 60,000 students of these educational institutions have been able to utilise the resources. The purpose of this corridor is to benefit students of institutions which have fewer resources, facilitate them to utilise resources of other colleges and acquire knowledge.
