As the researchers have arrived at Panjab University (PU), e-rickshaws may start operating on the campus. Many researchers raised the demand to operate e-rickshaws as they face difficulties in reaching their departments. PU will form a committee in this regard and guidelines will also be prepared. According to sources, only two people will be able to sit in the rickshaw because physical distance has to be maintained in view of Covid.
The researchers had shifted to hostels on November 1 and now, they are engaged in their research work. They have to visit the lab, departmental library and their guides several times a day. As many departments are away from hostels, students have to walk a long distance. Many departments are in South Campus while the students are staying in the hostels of Sector-14.
