In an order issued on Thursday, Panjab University has issued guidelines to teachers regarding the conduct of online classes. It mentioned that online teaching for all ongoing undergraduate and post graduate courses should commence from August 3. For new admissions, the online teaching would start from September 1, 2020.
The notice mentioned that there would be total four hours of teaching each day, comprising five periods for different courses/classes. Each period would be for 45 minutes or one hour. For all affiliated and regional colleges, a section would comprise of maximum 80 students. The last period would be reserved for solving the queries/ doubts over phone call or any suitable medium.
A nodal officer would be designated in each department/affiliated college (course-wise) to address the grievances of students regarding online teaching.
PU has also asked its students to sign an undertaking of adherence saying they will not record a lecture without express permission of the teacher concerned.
