Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) has announced 30% reduction of secondary and senior secondary-level syllabi for the final examination of 2020-21 academic session.
The Education Board Chairman Prof (Dr) Yograj announced the decision after a meeting with academic section of the Board. He said that as syllabi of various classes and subjects except Punjabi and History have been reduced.
For board finals of session 2020-21, structure of question papers will also undergo a change as necessitated again by absence of school-level teaching for months all together, he said.
Dr Yograj ordered the Academic Branch to prepare Model Test papers in tune with the changed structure of question papers and make the material available on the Board website. Calling for change in the structure of question papers of all board classes and subjects, he said that regular and conventional teaching has been missing for the students in the session and that creates a need for changing the pattern of evaluation towards more objectivity and meaningfulness.
