Primary classes to reopen in Haryana from new academic session

The Haryana government is planning to reopen primary schools in the new academic session. Education Minister of Haryana said, “The academic session now has very little time left. So, the state government is considering reopening schools for primary classes from the next academic session.”

On February 10, 2021, Education Minister Kanawarpal Gurjar put a pause on the possibility of primary classes commencing from February 15, 2021. The education minister said, “In this context, the Haryana Education Department had sent a file to the ministry, but the government returned it saying that now there is very little time left in this session.”

Meanwhile, schools for classes 10 to class 12 are already operational from December 14, 2020. Classes 9 to 11 also resumed from December 21, 2021, onwards in the state. The private and government schools across the state were directed to operate for 3 hours from 10 am to 1 pm for all the classes. All the schools must follow the COVID 19 guidelines and protocols issued by both state and central government. The strength of students is low only.

The annual examinations of Haryana School Education Board 10th and 12th (Educational / Open School) will start on April 20 and will be completed by May 31.
