A delegation of Poland led by Polish Ambassador, Adam Burakowski today visited Panjab University to meet the Vice Chancellor, Professor Raj Kumar and other University officials including Secretary to the Vice Chancellor,Prof Devinder Singh, Dean University Instructions,Prof V R Sinha Dean International Students, Dean Students Welfare (Women) Prof Meena Sharma at the Vice Chancellor’s office.
Professor Raj Kumar accorded a cordial and warm welcome to the foreign delegation. He apprised the members about a large number of international students pursuing studies in various courses in Panjab University, the high level of research and teaching, the facilities available to the international students in the University including an exclusive international hostel dedicated to the international students, the safe and secure academic environs provided to them in the Departments and the University.
The Polish delegation expressed keen desire for the prospect of Polish students seeking admission in various courses in Panjab University. The members of both the sides in course of discussion identified some of the key areas of research and teaching and explored the possibilities of future exchange programmes among the students and faculty of Universities in Poland and Panjab University. The meeting was highly interactive and successful in furthering academic relations between the two countries.
