PM Modi Recognizes Creators: National Awards 2024

India is a country of diversity, still under a single sun the nation prospers even after the differences. Similarly, the Online world is a large community of diversified creators and their recognition was long-standing. What better place than India to acknowledge th e efforts and inspire the creators for their work, and National Creator Awards 2024 is a well-set example of that.

The event was held at the Bharat Mandapam Convention Center in New Delhi on March 8, 2024. The ceremony witnessed Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself congratulating the winners across a diverse range of categories. This was the first of its kind award program in India and has received a whopping 1.5 lakh nominations, reflecting the immense talent within the Indian creator community. Even the public participated enthusiastically with over 10 lakh votes cast during the selection process.

Here is a closer look at some of the key award categories and the exceptional individuals who emerged victorious:

  • Creative Champs: The “Most Creative Creator” award was won by RJ Raunac and Shraddha Jain for their unique approaches to content creation.
  • Foodies Fun: “Best Creator in Food Category” was awarded to Kabita Singh. She is known for her platform” Kabita’s Kitchen” and her innovative and delectable recipes 
  • The Social Scientists: Highlighting the power of positive impact, Jaya Kishori was awarded the “Best Creator For Social Change” for her inspirational work.
  • Storytellers: Captivating narratives earned Keerthika Govindasamy the “Best Storyteller” award. She showcased the art of captivating the audience through digital storytelling through her platform.
  • International Claims: Drew Hicks, a creator who has gained global recognition was presented with the “Best International Creator” award. 

 That’s not all! The National Creator Awards 2024 extended its reach beyond established players and acknowledged the contributions of creators across various platforms and formats:

  • Micro Marvels: “Best Micro Award” was awarded to Aridaman, who demonstrated the power of delivery of content in a concise format. 
  • Arcadians: Playing video games should not be considered a hobby anymore as the government is also recognising its potential and  Nischay who is popular gaming personally secured the award for “Best Creator in Gaming Category”.
  • Fitness Gurus: A healthy lifestyle is not an option but a commitment and this commitment shown by Ankit Baiyanpura earned him the “Best Health and Fitness Creator”.
  • Educational Experts: Ed-tech has seen an abrupt rise since Covid-19’s lockdown and competition to provide the best education properly has been extensive since then. Naman Deshmukh’s contribution to online education was recognized with the “Best Creator in the Education Industry ” award during the event

During the program, several additional awards were also presented to to the creators who have marked their presence in their specific domains.

  •  Travellers: Visiting places has given birth to a species of travel enthusiasts and to celebrate this new category “Favorite Travel Creator” was also presented to Kamiya Jani for her captivating travelogues.
  • Visionaries: BeerBiceps run by Ranveer Allahbadia, is a popular Youtube channel that cultivates on a whole where the host shares worlds’s greatest stories and  this approach not only made the channel popular but also made it “Disruptor of the Year ” award winner.
  • Fashionists: From ramps, the fashion also made its presence in the National Creators Award ceremony, Jhanvi Singh with her distinctive style earned her the “Heritage Fashion Icon ” award.
  • Swachta Sewaks: With his unwavering commitment to cleanliness Malhar Kalamber took another clean step and won the “Swachhta Ambassador” Award
  • New India Reps: Abi and Niyu who have so far been prompting the positive image of India through their captivating videos also awarded with “The New Indian Campaign” award

The National Creator Awards 2024 serve as a significant milestone in welcoming the influence of online creators. By celebrating the achievements of these digital pioneers, the government has also paved the way for a future where online content creation is not only celebrated but valued and nurtured as well.
