Coinciding with the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi the Punjab Government today launched special pro-poor campaign across all the villages of punjab to Identify the eligible beneficiaries under the 5 Marla Plot Scheme. Plots to all these eligible beneficiaries in the villages will be allotted in time bound manner.
Disclosing this in a press communique released here today Tript Rajinder Singh Bajwa, Rural Development and Panchayat Minister Punjab said that this special campaign has been launched in pursuance of the Punjab Government’s decision to implement pro-poor initiatives in a time-bound manner. He said that today the Department of Rural Development and Panchayats has launched this special campaign pertaining to the 5 Marla Plot Scheme in mission mode across all the villages of Punjab.
Bajwa said that Special Gram Sabha meetings (Ijlaas) were held across villages in the state under the supervision of ADC(D)s, DDPOs, Deputy CEOs, BDPOs . He said that the focus of the campaign was to launch the People’s Plan Campaign (PPC) for preparation of Panchayat Development Plans for economic development and social justice in convergence with the line departments. He said that special impetus has been given to the identification of eligible beneficiaries for the allotment of 5 marla plots.
