Paytm has rolled out a new tool ‘COVID-19 Vaccine Slot Finder’ that will help users find available slots for the vaccine in over 780 districts in India. The tool is available on both Android and iOS devices, as per Paytm founder Vijay Shekhar Sharma on Twitter.
With the launch of the COVID-19 Vaccine Finder on its Mini App Store, Paytm says it wants to ensure “maximum numbers of citizens benefit from the service, get vaccinated in a timely manner and avoid crowding at the vaccination centres.”
The app will not only help people in booking slots but also notify users about vaccine availability in centres. There are options for 18+ and 45+ age groups, and the Vaccine Slot Finder can show available slots for the next four weeks. If no slots are available at the time of their search, users can opt to receive real-time automated alerts from Paytm once a slot frees up. The tool takes real-time data from CoWIN, which is India’s Covid-19 vaccination programme. However, please note that you will have to register and book a slot on Aarogya Setu or CoWin website to get the vaccine.
Steps to use the Vaccine Finder on Paytm:
– Open the Paytm app on your phone. Go to the Mini App Store section.
– Tap on the Vaccine Finder icon.
– Enter your PIN code to check for availability in your area.
– Tap on “Search by District” for a broader search.
– You can also sign up for “Notify me when slots are available” in your area.
