Pathankot’s Chamrod port, also known as ‘Mini Goa’, is going to be converted as a tourist hub soon with the introduction of an adventure park, said the Forest Department.
On Tuesday, a successful trial of jet skis and mountain bikes was held at Chamrod Port. The trial was conducted by a team from Manali on the Ranjit Sagar Dam.
Now, the tourism department has given permission to open it to the public. People will be able to enjoy the ride of rolling balloon, para sailing and hot air balloon at this place.
Forest Department officials say this will be the first site in Punjab where people will be able to enjoy natural sightings as well as paragliding, jet skis, mountain bikes and rolling balloons. Divisional forest officer Dr Sanjeev Tiwari says that it is the effort of the forest department that Pathankot will be identified as a tourist destination.
