Panjab University’s controller of examinations appointed as V-C of Rayat Bahra University

Panjab University’s (PU’s) controller of examinations Prof Parvinder Singh has been appointed as the vice-chancellor of Rayat Bahra University, Mohali.

He has been appointed for a term of five years from the day of joining but on December 30 and 31, 2022, he will work in PU for two days. For this, he will be allowed to take a notional break to wind up his previous post.

Parvinder Singh was appointed as controller of examinations in PU in 2013. Before that, he was a teacher at Post Graduate Government College, Sector 42.

The post of controller of examinations and other important posts lie vacant. According to teachers, if PU performs better in National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), then full-time senior teachers will be given responsibility for the vacant posts.

Presently, the results of examinations are being released by PU and admission process is underway.
