Haryana schools to conduct online exam for classes 1 to 8 in Jan through AVSAR App

As per the latest update, the Haryana Schools for primary and upper-primary students i.e. Class 1 to 8 will remain closed until further notice. Recently, with schools being opened for Class 9 to 12 students, there were speculations that schools might also be reopened for primary and upper primary class students as well.

Without sharing the date, the Haryana Government has shared its decision to continue online classes for standard 1 to 8 in the state. As for examinations, the assessment for students of classes 1 to 8 would be held online from January through the AVSAR app developed by the Education Minister.

The Chief Minister’s Office shared the decision of the government following the new measures taken by the government to check the spread of new strain of Covid-19. The classes would continue in online mode through EDUSAT. As for the examinations, the online assessments would begin from January first week.

For the classes 9 to 12, with the cold wave conditions persisting, the school timings have been changed. The schools would now open at 10am and the classes would be conducted till 1pm.

Haryana Education Department spokesperson shared that the monthly assessment tests would be conducted through the AVSAR app created by the department. Students would be required to register on the app and teachers have been asked to ensure the registration.

“Monthly assessment tests will be started from the first week of January through this mobile app. Teachers have been directed to register every student on the AVSAR app and ensure that students are using this app regularly. All the teachers have been directed to attend the school every day to update the skill passbook and also update the details about continuous comprehensive assessment work,” he said.

Furthermore, the teachers and the head of schools would be held responsible in case of any negligence in the use of the AVSAR app. “The presence of all staff working in government schools has been made mandatory from 9:45 am to 1:30 pm,” the spokesman added.
