The Congress on Wednesday appointed BV Srinivas as the President of the Indian Youth Congress (IYC). “Hon’able Congress President has appointed Shri BV Srinivas, interim President, IYC as President of IYC with immediate effect,” a press release from the All India Congress Committee (AICC) issued by party leader KC Venugopal read.
Pertinently, Srinivas B V who hails from Karnataka Shimoga has been serving as an interim chief for more than year following the resignation of Keshav Chand Yadav. “Coming from a non-political background and simple family, from Karnataka block head to becoming country’s biggest Youth leader, we congratulate Srinivas B V,” read Indian Youth Congress official Twitter handle.
